FILTER "GASCOLATOR" ACS

Reference: 41107

The primary mission Gascolator filter is to remove water that may contain gasoline.

The operation is as follows: Enter the fuel (and water that may contain) to the input marked 'IN ' filling the cup. The water and impurities are located at the bottom of the glass. Gasoline, less dense, is located at the top by clicking the exit 'out' through a metal mesh filter, thus ensuring a flow of gas out free water and solid particles.

The water and impurities deposited on the bottom of the glass must be removed through the drain valve with the proper tool. This operation must be performed before the 1st flight of the day.

After a period of inactivity, the gas that fills the cup of Gascolator can evaporate. To facilitate filling the cup and start the engine at the first attempt Gascolator has an additional entry in the top for connection of a 'Prime'. Gasoline also injected by Prime Gascolator passes through the filter.

Occasionally it is interesting to open the Gascolator, clean the metal mesh filter and replace the rubber gasket.
