Temperature
The cylinder head temperature probes and exhaust are standard. This means that any probe works with any instrument, whether analog or digital, and regardless of manufacturer.
Such probes operate on the principle of "thermocouple." A thermocouple is the union of two different types of metals which generate a small voltage as a function of temperature to which it is subjected their union.
The sensor cables exhaust temperature and cylinder head are protected by a metal mesh that should not be cut in any case. If we need to extend the cables from the probe to reach the instrument can be done with conventional parallel copper cable, always connecting the terminals of the probe.
The probes have polarity, and for this cables are coloured black and white. If connected reverse nothing happens, but the instrument does not indicate.
The water temperature sensors, oil or air are not standardized, so we must use the probe indicated by the instrument manufacturer.
