Description
This state-of-the-art portable communications station has been specially designed for use in balloons, but will fulfill its function where a VHF airband Radio and/or a Transponder is needed.
The station has a modular design so that it can adapt to the needs of every customer. Each functional module can be installed at the time of ordering or later in our facilities.
The base of the portable station is an aluminum case reinforced, designed to withstand a hard life. The top flap protects equipment and their controls, preventing them from damage in an unexpected turn. Inside we have a high capacity lithium battery with specific charger and protection & control circuit for a long, safe and reliable operation.
A cigarette connector with 14V output, an USB output to charge external devices, a LED colour voltmeter, the external power input and the On/Off/Charge switch complete the box that can be configured with the following parts:
- VHF Radio: We offer 2 possibilities: Get the TQ Avionics KRT2-S or the Funke ATR833-MKII-LCD. Both are fully featured (6W, dual watch, double channel spacing, etc... ) certified EASA Form1 COM radio. Select the correct wired version if you already have the radio.
- Transponder: We offer 2 possibilities: Get the TQ Avionics KTX2-S.V2 or the Funke TRT800H-LCD. Both are all-mode FORM1 certified and do have built-in altimeter. GPS Haicom HI-206 is installed by default to provide uncertified ADSB-Out. Select the correct wired version if you already have the transponder
