Antennas

The antenna is a key element to ensure successfully operation of equipment connected to them. Here are VHF communication antennas and Transponder antennas that are designed exclusively for aircraft band. As important as a well-designed antenna is the installation. All antennas installed on aircraft should be located it's base on a metal point of the structure to ensure good ground connection. In the case of wood or fiber aircraft that have no metal, the only antenna that can be installed is the dipole Ref 29110. The antenna cable must run alone and away from any other wiring. We also recommend checking the SWR (Standing Wave Ratio) that will indicate if the antenna is working properly. You can find SWR Meters in the Electronic Tools section. When ordering, if you notify us the length of cable you need, we can install a BNC connector at the end.
